Japan

Aug ‘22 - Our trip began with a week in Tokyo to explore the capital and prepare for our cycling trip. We then took the bullet train to train to Hiroshima to start our 3-week bike journey back to Tokyo by way of the Kyoto region and the “Japanese Alps”. Finally, we finished off our amazing month by climbing the iconic Mt Fuji.

Vietnam

We visit Vietnam for the final stop on our tour of southeast Asia. We travel by motorcycle for a week south from Hanoi to Da Nang on the Ho Chi Minh road and then continue on our bicycles to explore the coast.

Trek in Nepal

In April, we took a break from our travels in Southeast Asia and explored the vast Himalayan mountains of Nepal. We were thrilled to have Ryan’s close friend Buddy join us.

Mongolia Cycling Trip

For my final trip of summer break, I was extremely fortunate to join my friend Esther, a fellow Olmsted scholar, on a two-week cycling trip in Mongolia. -C
